CZ came up with a large number of polymer pistols in the last few years and for some it may be tricky to see the differences. And thats why we are here today – to explain the differnces between CZ P10C and CZ P10S pistols.
Size of the gun
We mention the size as first because the difference in size is the very main difference between these two guns.
While CZ P10C is a compact sized gun, CZ P10S belongs to subcompact guns.
Compared to CZ P-10S, the compact sized CZ P10C is
- 16mm smaller when it comes to width, and
- 17mm shorter when it comes to length.
Other than that, those guns are the same thickness of 32mm / 1.26 in.

- Width: 32mm
- Heigh: 116mm
CZ P-10C dimensions
- Length: 187mm
- Width: 32mm
- Heigh: 132mm
Weight
CZ P10S is considerable smaller and shorter handgun.
When the magazine is inserted into the gun. When magazine is inserted but empty, the total weight of the CZ P10S is 710 grams. When the CZ P10C is weighted with empty magazine, it weights 740g. That is only 30g difference for CZ P10S.

Or in other words, CZ P10C compared to CZ P10S:
- weight difference is 4%
- length difference is 9%
- height difference is 12%
Capacity
The lower height of CZ P10S is visible when it comes to capacity of magazines.
Although you can use even larger magazines (as we discuss later in the article), in both of the compared CZs, we will compare the size that fits the grip as it comes from factory.
Into CZ P10S you can this way get 12 + 1rnd with standard CZ P-10 double stack magazine of subcompact size.
Into CZ P10C you can get 3 rounds more, making it together 15 + 1rnd capacity gun.
Compatibility of parts
Other aspect from which to compare guns is parts compaibiliy.
As you can see from the diagrams of spare parts of both P-10C and P-10S, many of the parts are interchangeable.
The difference in parts comes only in play when you have to consider the different sizes of both guns – i.e. backstraps, grips, barrels etc.
Magazines
For both guns you can use magazines from other CZ P10 models – with the exception of magazines from CZ P10M, which are single stack. All the other CZ P10 use double stack and are interchangeable. However, the interchangeability is little bit tricky. Let us explain below.
Magazines from P10S are short and therefore although they are the same width as other CZ P10 magazines, they are too short to feed any larger gun than CZ P10S itself. P10C mags are something longer and thus can be used also in CZ P10S.
However, you can use larger magazines in both CZ pistols without any issue – they will be 100% functional. The only issue is that they will exceed the grip of the gun and thus not look very cool. That can be however solved by using a so called sleeve which covers the exceeding part with fitting polymer body.
Holsters
Holsters are different for each CZ P10 model as they differentiate by the sizes of each gun.
Thus if you go ahead and buy both CZs, you will have to have two holsters. See more on CZ P10C holsters here.
Sights
Both guns come from factory with the very same fixed sights with height 5.5mm and luminescent dots on both rear sight and front sight. Luminescent sights shall not be mistaken for tritium night sights – see more on the topic of CZ P10C night sights options here.
That means that any aftermarket sights that will work for one model will work also for the other model – the cuts for sights are the same for CZ P10S as for CZ P10C. See more on the topic of upgrading sights on CZ P-10C here. It will apply the same for P10S.
As the dovetail cut for rear sight is the same for both handguns, you can also use the very same red dot mount from P-10C also for CZ P-10S.
