Holosun 512T is a full sized red dot from Holosun designed for long gun such as PCC, carbines or shotguns. In this article we cover details of this red dot. Mounting compatibility
Holosun 512T has a unique footprint that is to be used foremostly with its picatinny mounting interface, which is part of the package.
TYou will be therefore able to mount the red dot on any gun equipped with picatinny base or weaver base.
Dimensions
Holosun 512T is very robust and sturdy red dot designed to work on long guns. Compared to 510C, this sight is slightly thinner.
However, compared to Holosun 510C, this red dot is almost twice as heavy with 9.17 oz. This difference in weight is caused foremostly by the titanium body of Holosun 512T. The difference is that Holosun 510C has only titanium hood.

Unscrew the screw on the right side of the red dot that holds the battery cover.
Subsequently remove the cover to approach the battery of the red dot.
The battery is CR2032.
